What kernel are you using? You need to be on 6.5 And use the 535 driver from the repository.
Audacity may be able to help. You'll have to try it. I have used it many times for the same issue. Let me make one very BIG suggestion: make a new folder and copy the files into that folder to...
Get the driver from Ubuntu....never straight from nVidia. However, I would use the 535 driver.....it has been pretty reliable. Going with the 550 could bring more problems than it is worth right...
You need to give us the make and model of your laptop. It sounds like you probably have 2 GPUs and your laptop is only using the low powered one.
Or just download gdebi and install using that.
While in your browser, press and hold the CTRL key and while holding that, tap the + key. If you go too far, CTRL and the - key will reverse.
This a Win 11 machine with Safe Boot disabled and UEFI and Legacy allowed. Works fine for Win 11 and Ubuntu 22.04
A USB hub would probably allow you to use both at the same time.
For you of the CD?
This has had me thinking. My guess is that the files on the CD are corrupted when written to the CD. For instance: if there was just a bit or 2 missing from the burned track, I would think that it...
Just gifted this by someone who didn't use it anymore. Is there a Linux version that I can put on here and how can that be done? It shows a 26G (?) storage, so I have plenty of room.
Backups, backups, backups. You should never have only one drive with important info on it! Not only do I have at least 2 backups of everything in my home, I also have a complete backup HDD laying...
That charger converts AC to DC. It also converts either 110V or 220V down to something less than 20V. If a diode went bad, then the AC isn't being totally converted to DC. If the dropping coil...
That sure sounds like a hardware problem and not a software issue. Know of anyone who has the same charger that you could try?
Laptop or desktop? Make and model?
Do you hear the drive spinning up after you insert a disc and close the drawer?
I have a folder on the desktop that I put my pics in for Zoom. While in a zoom meeting, right click on your pic, chose "Virtual background", and then point it to that folder and pick the pic you...
That card will work just fine. You may need to move to a newer kernel though;;;;;;you will probably need one of the 6.? kernels.
Really? I don't assume that anyone knows anything. Also, I have been doing this (fixing and building computers) for over 30 years. You would be surprised at some dumb things that I have "fixed"...
I assume that you have tried rebooting the machine? Occasionally, I'll see something on the 'net and afterwards some programs are inop. Won't happen for weeks or months, but then a couple times in...
I don't know what told you that the 470 driver was recommended. And why the server one?? I would go with the 535 driver and NOT the server one. nVidia's site says that you can even use a newer one...
Hopefully someone else will back me up here, but you should be running a lot newer driver than that. nVidia's site lists the 550 driver as the newest. I would go to the Software Center or Synaptic...
Well, I forgot that there was a separate Mint forum here. I also belong to the Linux Mint Forums, and posted there first, but still haven't gotten a reply. Sigh.
